House. c1860. Snecked Pennant and Lias rubble with limestone
dressings, stone stacks and slate roof. Irregular double-depth
plan. Gothic Revival style. 2 storeys, basement and attic;
3-window range. An asymmetrical front with coped gables to the
left and in the right return, and a full-height, projecting
3/4 corner bow with a parapet. Steep gabled entrance porch in
the right return has a scalloped barge-board over a
pointed-arched doorway on columns with foliate capitals and a
trefoiled overlight, and a 2-leaf framed door; mullion and
transom windows with chamfered reveals, 3 lights to the
ground-floor canted bay in the left gable, cross windows in
the middle below an eaves dormer, and 5-light windows in the
bow; quatrefoil panels in the gables and dormer. INTERIOR not
inspected.
