GV II

Terrace of 5 houses. c1840. Limestone ashlar, party wall
stacks and a pantile hipped roof. Double-depth plan. Late
Georgian style.
3 storeys and basement; 8-window range. A composed terrace
with projecting, 1-window range ends, 2-window range middle
houses, banded ground floor to a plat band, panelled pilasters
above to a frieze, second-floor sill band, and overhanging
eaves. Doorways in the ends and to left of the middle houses,
plain with 4-light overlights and 2-panel doors; No.106 has a
porch with C20 second storey and balustrade to steps. 2-storey
canted bays to the ends have pilasters to the windows, dentil
cornices and plain pierced parapets, tripartite second-floor
windows with recessed mouldings, with plate-glass sashes.
Middle windows have architraves on the first-floor and smaller
second-floor windows, with 6/6-pane sashes. A cast-iron
balcony on brackets to the first floor of No.112. Rear
semicircular-arched stair windows. INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached front walls and gate piers.
