Farmhouse. Early C19, possibly with earlier core; altered.
Coursed graduated sandstone rubble, composition tile roof.
Unusual double-depth rectangular plan with entrance front in
gable end. Two storeys, a 3-window gabled south-west facade,
symmetrical; with a 1st-floor sill-band, a central doorway
with pilaster jambs, wedge lintel and panelled and glazed door
with 3-pane overlight; and vertical-rectangular windows on
both floors with monolith jambs, wedge lintels and altered
glazing. Chimney on centre of ridge. The right-hand (south)
side has only a doorway near the rear corner and 2 altered (or
inserted) windows above. The rear gable wall has a large
5-light flat-faced mullioned window on each floor, that at 1st
floor now lacking 2 mullions and the 5th light blocked; and in
the gable above patched masonry resembling a blocked doorway.
C20 lean-to addition to the right at ground floor; large
lean-to extension on north side.
