GV II

Barn with attached shippons and cart shed. Barn dated 1664 to
right of waggon doorway; altered. Coursed thin sandstone
rubble and C19 red brick, slate and stone slate roofs. Main
range on east-west axis, facing north; with a full-height
waggon doorway in the centre, a lean-to outshut to the left, a
window and a doorway to the right, and a datestone above these
inscribed "1664". Right-hand gable wall rebuilt in brick.
Continued to the right is a single-storey 4-bay shippon/cart
shed with stone slate roof. Rear covered by C20 additions.
Forms group with Johnson's Farmhouse approximately 10 metres
north-west (qv).
