Small town house. 1807. For Philip Gard, lessee. Granite
ashlar front, asbestos slate roof with brick end stacks.
Double-depth plan with 1 room at the front. 2 storeys;
2-window-range front. Plinth; round-arched doorway, on the
left, with 6-panel door and spoked fanlight. Shallow cambered
arches with projecting keyblocks over probably original
hornless 4-pane sashes with intermediate glazing bars removed;
modillions to fascia and cast-iron ogee gutter. INTERIOR:
moulded plaster ceiling cornice and panelled shutters to front
room and dogleg stair behind. Building work at time of survey
(1990) reveals cob construction of party wall and stone
nogging to studwork hall partition.
