GV II

House. 1862. By FW Hagen. Yellow brick with ashlar and stucco
dressings and hipped slate roof with 3 coped side wall stacks.
Plinth, first-floor sill and lintel bands, modillion wooden
eaves. 2 storeys plus attics; 5-window range of plain sashes
with segmental heads and moulded lintels. Above, 3
segment-arched dormers, the larger central one with a 2-light
casement. Central stucco portico with panelled pilasters,
enriched frieze and modillion cornice. Arch braces to opening.
Half-glazed panelled door with sidelights and plain fanlight.
On either side, a single canted bay window with enriched
pilasters and frieze and modillion cornice, with 3 plain
sashes. Each return has a single dormer. Left return has 2
plain sashes and below, a square wooden bay window with
cornice.
