Former public house. C16. Timber framed and plastered; pantiled roof with
glazed black tiles at the front. 2 storeys and attic. 3-cell form. 4
windows, various C18-C19 casements; 2 5-light windows on the ground floor.
C19 boarded door. Internal stack. C19 brick stables to right and mid C20
additions to left. The hall and parlour have moulded bridging beams. Exposed
first floor framing, with an arched-braced cambered tie beam in the hall
chamber. One diamond-mullioned window and evidence for others. The service
end of the house has been altered to accommodate a cellar; there is a
secondary diamond-mullioned window in the gable end.
