4 houses. Datestone inscribed: "C & B/1854/V". Brick with
stone dressings, slate roof. One storey with attic, 4 bays,
the end bays breaking forward under gables with decorative
barge boards. Quoins. Windows have plain stone architraves
with label moulds, 4-light small-paned casements, the lights
pointed. Similar windows to 1st floor, those to central bays
in gabled half-dormers. Paired central entrances under label
mould have half-glazed doors. Returns have gabled porches,
the ridges parallel to return walls, and 4-centred heads to
entrances, that to No.1 has half-glazed door with Y-tracery.
4 brick stacks paired across ridge. Built for Haigh Hall
estate.
