House. Circa 1800 with Italianate villa added mid C19 to front. Gault brick,
whitewashed to rear. Slate roofs. Villa in form of 2 wings meeting at right
angles with a taller circular tower at junction. South wing of 2 storeys in
4 bays. Ground floor has rebated arches imitating a loggia with sash windows
within them. Left bay has a C20 door under flat porch. Sashes with glazing
bars and all with shutters. Deep overhanging eaves. East wing of 2½ storeys.
Central glazed door. Sash windows as before, with shutters. Overhanging
eaves. Low hipped roofs to both wings, each with one discreet chimney stack.
South-west corner marked by 3 storey circular tower in 5 bays, 2 of which are
window bays. Windows are sashes, those to ground floor set within recessed
arch. Alternate bays recessed. Top floor has 5 round lights below rendered
parapet which conceals a glazed dome.
