Single cottage, C16 core, C17 alterations. Coursed Lias stone walls, hipped
at both ends. Two C20 brick stacks, one backing on to cross-passage, one
below right hand hip apex. 2 storeys. 4 windows, ground floor with two
4-light hollow-chamfered mullions, with returned labels over. Upper windows
with 2-light wooden casements and wooden cills. Very small triangular-headed
window over front door. Front door, C20, plank with chamfered wooden lintel
over, slightly left of centre. Hipped thatch canopy carried on wooden posts.
Curving cob wall at right hand end. Interior: 2 jointed cruck trusses visible
with pegged cruck-spurs. One set of heavy through purlins visible, C16. Left
hand room has deep-chamfered ceiling beam with heavy filleted stops. "RCHM,
