4/139 Garden wall with gates
and gate-piers extending
westwards from north-west
corner of Caradoc Court

GV II

Garden wall, gates and gate-piers. Possibly C17 with mid-C19 additions.
Large blocks of square sandstone and finely coursed sandstone rubble. The
wall extends westwards for about 50 yards from north-west corner of Caradoc
Court (qv). North elevation has gate-piers with C19 gates about 15 yards west
of Caradoc Court. Gate piers about ten feet high are possibly C17 with
rusticated piers and friezes enriched with griffons. Wall has gabled coping.
At the west end of the wall is a pair of C19 niches.
