wall enclosing forecourt
to south of No 42
(Picton House)
GV II
Gate piers and wall. Circa 1700 with mid-C20 alterations. Walls of squared
limestone with coping. In the mid-C20 they were lowered and are now swept
downwards in a curve to each side of the piers. Piers of limestone ashlar
and square on plan. They have an entablature with moulded cornice and ball
finials.
