House, formerly an inn. C17 or earlier, altered C18 and C19, limewashed
brick, slate roof, central chimney. 2 storeys, lst floor string at different
levels. N. front originally 5 bays, RH and centre upper blocked. Centre
bay has slight projection, upper part timber framed, small cornice at each
level, slate pentice over. 6 fielded panelled door flanked by narrow fluted
pilasters, with plain fascia below enriched cornice. ½ glazed shop door
in centre of RH part, with modern window on left, canted bay window on right.
Sash window to 1st floor. To left of centre a sash window, carriage way on
far left with exposed timber framing on flank wall, 2 sash windows to
1st floor.
