PADSTOW TREATOR
SW 97 NW
2/162 Row of cottages to west of Treator
Farm
GV II
Row of 6 cottages. Circa 1820s to mid C19. Stone rubble. Slate roofs with gable
ends and brick axial and end stacks.
Plan: The several straight joints on the front elevation indicate that the cottages
were built in at least two stages. The 2 left hand cottages appear to be of 2 room
double depth plan with entrances to left, probably leading to stair to rear. The
remaining 4 cottages to right appear to be of double depth plan, each with 2
principal rooms to front and central entrance.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 10 window front, the 3 cottages to left with 2-centred
arched window openings on the first floor. Brick segmental arches to remaining
window and door openings. To left, the 3 cottages have 4 C19 2-light casements
alternating with three C20 doors on the ground floor and 4 pointed arched openings
above with intersecting glazing bars to the C19 sashes. The 3 cottages to right each
have central entrances flanked by 2-light casements with glazing bars with similar
casements above.
Interior not inspected.
