Green Walk of Prideaux Place

GV II*

Cannon. Circa 1700. Bronze cannon lying in undergrowth beside the Green Walk.
Formerly one of the cannons on the saluting platform linking the south gate (qv) with
the mock fortifications (qv east entrance) which is illustrated in a print by Borlase
of 1758.
One of the other cannons, is exhibited at the Tower of London. A race example of a
Henrician cannon.
