Barn. C16. 3 bays with central S porch projecting. N aisle
and porch extension added in C17/C18. High red brick base with
thicker lower half and external offset. Timber frame
weatherboarded. Very steep pitched gabled roof now covered in
corrugated iron. Jowled posts and long curved braces to tie
beams and walls plates. N wall plate scarfed in mid span with an
edge-halved joint with bridled butts. Clasped purlin roof with
long curved wind braces lap-jointed to backs of purlins. Remains
of plaster on lath internal lining in porch. Part of courtyard
group.
