Park Green House

GV II*

House, now in use as surgery. Late C18. Brick with Welsh slate
roof. Gable faces Sunderland Street, with central full-height
arched recess between chimneys. Doorway (now disused) in stone
architrave with Doric columns and side lights. Enriched
Venetian window immediately above the door with Ionic
pilasters and open balustrading. Semicircular window in gable
apex above. Secondary doorway now the main entrance to the
left, with projecting cornice carried on console brackets.
Elevation to Park Green a 4-window range with full-height
canted bay window to right of centre. 4-pane sash windows in
bay, divided by slender stone pilasters. Other windows also
4-pane sashes (12-panes in upper right hand window), with
flat-arched gauged brick heads. Moulded cornice and stuccoed
panelled parapet.
