Known also as No.6 The Closes.
House. Late C17 to rear; early C19 front block. Coursed limestone rubble with
ashlar front; gabled Welsh slate roof to front and gabled stone slate roof to
rear; ashlar end stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window
range. Portico with moulded cornice and columns in front ofc19 six-panelled (4
glazed) door with decorative fanlight. Late C19 canted bay window, with
plate-glass sashes, to right. Keyed stone lintels over 6-pane sashes. Raised
storey band and band beneath parapet. Late C17 two-stormy range to rear has
stair-turret with hipped roof adjoining C19 rear wing of brick and limestone
rubble, Two-storey range of c.1900 to left, with mullioned stone windows.
Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
