- end of Church of St Symphorian

GV II

Chest tomb, probably circa 1847. Slatestone walls with plain uninscribed slate lid.
Square on plan, north side has reused stone fragments in the form of a blocked
doorway. Moulded freestone capitals probably from gate piers of circa 1700 support
hollow chamfered granite arch stone or coping stone. Within doorway is granite gable
finial with 3 circles similar to one reused on village well. Both are probably
Medieval fragments removed from Church during restoration of 1847.
