- end of Church of St Symphorian to
Maria Kempe
GV II

Chest tomb, 1794. Slatestone rubble base, limestone lid with cavetto and torus
moulded border and inscribed slate insert. Rectangular on plan. Inscription reads:
"Worth and Virtue claim the Pitying tear
Well may the husband pour his sorrows here
Yet cease to mourn, Let resignation boast
That Heaven has gained what that fond Man has lost"
