Circa 183O-55. Two storey pair of stucco faced housed, part of a Regency-style
crescent formed by Nos 41 to 49(consec). Each has 3 bay front symmetrical in
itself. Thin quoin pilasters; plinth; shallow rustication to ground floor struck
to window and door arches; first floor sill bond. Shallow moulded eaves band to
gable end slate roof with stucco chimney stacks on party walls. Ground floor
windows set in stucco panels with segmental arches. First floor in similar panels;
glazing bars intact to sashes. Each house has central arched entrance recess
approached by short flight of steps containing inner moulded arch on flattened
Tuscan columns with delicate fluting, door of 5 fielded and flush panels in
panelled reveals and soffit, looped radial glazing to fanlight. To the extreme
left and right of the paired fronts are narrow round arched tunnel passage entrances.
