BRIGHSTONE

1354-0/11/52 Brighstone Mill

GV II

Watermill. Late C18 or early C19 extended in C19. Built of
coursed stone rubble with some red brick and some white brick
dressings and tiled roof. 1 to 2 storeys and attics in gable.
Irregular fenestration. 1st floor has 2 C19 casements. Ground
floor has 1 C19 casement, 1 blocked window and a cambered
doorcase. The right side elevation is of 2 storeys with 2
cambered casements and a central loading door. Attached to the
right of this is a C19 stable cartshed, partly ironstone,
partly weatherboarded. Left hand part has stable door. Right
hand part has double cart shed on ground floor.
