GV II

Pavilion. c1881. Timber with hipped slate roof and tile crest.
Rectangular structure has canted projection with pyramidal
roof over. Timber posts are braced; boarding to sides and
rear; roof has engrailed fascia; pyramidal roof over low
octagonal drum with pierced trefoils; pinnacle. Seating
missing at time of resurvey (1990). Park was laid out by V.H.
Vertegans, 1879-81, on the site of Broad Meadows racecourse.
