II

Tithe barn, now hall and house. Late C15/early C16, C19 and
C20 alterations. Rubble with limestone dressings, brick ridge
stack and pantile roof. Rectangular, single-depth plan. Single
storey with 2-storey end cottage; 8-window range. The
right-hand end incorporates a 3-window range cottage, with
chamfered dressings to the windows, and a door with a moulded
frame and 3-light stone mullioned window to the left; in the
right elevation is a Tudor-arched C17 window and blocked
doorway. To the centre is a blocked entrance, probably the
original; to the left is a wide doorway with a concrete
lintel, and 3 tall narrow C20 windows. INTERIOR: 10-bay roof
with collar-beam trusses and curved wind braces.
