C18 Headstones of Swithland and Welsh slate form a path alongside the south aisle. This example with finely engraved cartouche -Life how short Eternity how long- is possibly by J Sparrow or Wood of Bingham, Notts. Another slate is to Thomas Horsepool d1796, which family have listed C18 headstones at Bingham (see my photos). (Photo Mar 2008).
