GV II

Two houses. Late C18. Staggered Flemish-bond brick, pantile
half-hipped mansard roof with brick stack to centre ridge.
3-unit plan with rear outshut. 2 storeys; No.23 to the left is
2-window range, No.24 is one-window range. The range to left
of No.23 has a vertical joint with a horned 10/10-pane sash
window at eaves level over a C20 glazed door. The similar
window to first floor right and the horned 8/8-pane sash below
are separated by a brick platband at lintel level which spans
the facade of No.24, which has flat brick arches to a 6/6-pane
sash to the first floor and a 10/10-pane sash below. The right
return has a segmental arch to a small C20 attic window, a C20
glazed door to left, a wooden lintel to casement window high
in the outshut, and a single storey to right. INTERIOR not
inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: staggered Flemish-bond brick
wall encloses south and east sides of garden, approx 10m to
each side.
