Public house. C18 or earlier, front remodelled late C19.
Stuccoed front with quoin strips, panelled stall risers to
ground floor, pilasters with consoles and moulded hoods to
openings except for central 1st-floor opening with moulded
architrave, sill brackets and heavy moulded eaves cornice;
fairly steep dry slate roof; early C18 or C17 granite ashlar
stack with entablature on right; brick stack on left. Deep
plan, surrounding small courtyard at rear. 2 storeys; 3-window
range. Late C19 horned sashes: 3-light sashes flanking 4-pane
sash, to 1st floor, over central doorway at far left, and pair
of 2-light sashes on right, all ground-floor sashes with
round-arched heads and glazed spandrels. INTERIOR not
inspected.
