House, with shop and carriageway. Early/mid C19. Brick,
colourwashed, slate roof, red brick stack. U shaped plan of
principal range with rear wings each side of carriageway. 2
storeys. S front elevation: divided by pilasters into 5
symmetrical bays, outer 2 narrower than rest. Central
elliptical-headed carriageway with 2 bead-moulded, boarded
doors. Adjacent, late C19 double fronted shop intruded into 2
E bays, splayed recessed entrance, single paned shop windows
with arched framing, leaf decorated spandrels, corner posts
have leaf capitals and bases. Glazed door with lower panel.
Fascia board has terminal pendants. W end bay has blocked
round arch headed doorway. Adjacent bay has ground and first
floor segment headed windows, sashes with glazing bars, 3x4
panes, similar windows on first floor over carriageway and bay
to E. Outer first floor windows, at E and W ends are blind.
Single dentilled stack towards W end. Rear 2 first floor
segment headed sash windows. Additions, one C19 single storey
and one C20 of 2 storeys. W end elevation: blank, red brick in
`rat-trap' bond. E end abuts onto adjoining property.
