Terrace of 3 houses. c1850. Brick with stucco dressings; slate
roof. Georgian style. 2 storeys; 9 bays, each house
symmetrical and double fronted Wide eaves. Each entrance in
plaster doorcase with pilasters, frieze and cornice with
gabled blocking course, overlight and door with
2 tall panels. Windows have sills, and wedge lintels over
4-pane horned sashes; No.14 has later C19 bay window to left
of entrance with paired 4-pane horned sashes, and canted bay
window to right of entrance with round-headed panels to ends
and 2:4:2-pane sashes, both with cornice; No.15 has similar
canted bay window to left of entrance. End stacks and 2
cross-axial stacks. No.16 has cast-iron railings on stone base
to 3 sides of front garden and gate. 2 rear wings. Built as
part of the development of the area following the opening of
the railway, 1837.
