GV II

House, late C18 and early C19. Rendered brick with reduced
parapet and gambrel roof of C20 clay pantiles with 2
flat-roofed dormers. 2 storeys with attics. Front has moulded
brick cornice, now rendered and, on first floor, 2 recessed
double-hung sash windows with small panes. Ground floor has 2
similar windows and early C19 doorcase with moulded pilasters,
moulded frieze and consoles supporting flat hood. Recessed
6-panel door with panelled reveals and decorative fanlight
over. Central rendered ridgeline stack.
INTERIOR: entrance hall has two C18 doorways with eared
architraves. Narrow winder stairs with short length of Chinese
Chippendale balustrade on first flight. Roof space contains
room with 4 fitted 'Pilot' bunks around walls and small
windows to view High Lighthouse (probably C19).
