Pair of houses. 1836-7. Brick with buff headers and stucco
dressings; slate roof with brick end stacks. Georgian style. 2
storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Top brick cornice.
Round-headed entrances and entry to centre have blind
fanlights and C20 doors, the entry with plank door. Ground
floor has canted bay window with cornices over plate-glass
shop window to No.7 and 4:12:4-pane sashes to No.8. Windows to
1st floor have sills, and rusticated wedge lintels over
12-pane sashes. Part of the early C19 development of the north
part of Stratford, known as New Town.
