Includes: No.7 CHAPEL LANE.
Terrace of 5 houses. 1856-7. Brick with buff headers and
stucco dressings; slate roof with 3 brick cross-axial stacks
and end stack. Georgian style. 2 storeys; 7-window range.
Plain eaves. Pair of entrances to right of centre have
consoled cornice, overlight to 2-tall-panel door to left
(No.42), inserted window with 4-pane sash to right; similar
entrance toward left end (No.43); round-headed entry (entrance
to Nos 40 and 41) toward right end has stucco arch and blind
fanlight to plank door, similar entry to left of centre.
Windows have sills, and wedge lintels over 6-pane sashes;
ground floor has 2 later C19 canted bay windows with
casements, and 4-pane sash to right of entrance to Nos 40 and
41; 1st floor has blind window to left end. Left return to
Chapel Lane similar 3-window range; entrance has consoled
cornice, overlight and 2-tall-panel door. Included for group
value.
