Row of 3 town houses. Late C16/early C17, with C19 and C20
additions; No.49 with c1800 refronting, No.51 with C20
refronting. Timber-frame with brick or plaster infill and
brick; old and renewed tile roof with brick stack to front of
and one to rear of ridge. 2 storeys; 4-window range: No.50 of
single storey with attic; No.51 a 2-window range. No.49 has
modillioned brick cornice; segmental-headed entrance with
plank door to left end, and 2 segmental-headed ground-floor
windows and 1st-floor window; all with 2-light small-paned
casements. No.50 has timber-framing on coursed rubble plinth;
entrance to right end has C20 plank door, 2 ground-floor
windows with 2-light small-paned casements, one with iron
opening casement, gabled dormer with small 3-light casement.
No.51 has brick front with entrance in segmental-headed entry
to right end; 3 segmental-headed windows and 2 windows to 1st
floor, all with casements. Rear has exposed timber-framing
with timber-framed gabled wing to left of centre, braced wall
plate; catslide outshut to left and C20 additions to right
with small 1st-floor window over with 3-light casement.
