Farmhouse, now abandoned. Possibly C15 in part, primarily Cl7. Rubble,
brick, some timber frame with slate hanging, tile roof. T-shaped plan,
includes basement storey in sandstone with early window overlooking former
stream or ditch to south. Entrance front 1½ storeys, various openings, case-
ments, and new door left of centre; opposite front, south, has partly
obscured multi-light wood casement with diagonally set mullions, in stone
wall, partly obscured by later buttress. Interior: various heavy beams on
brackets; one 2-light casement in wood with ovolo mould mullion and frame,
lighting stone newel stair (left); heavy, steep-pitched roof trusses, collar,
post supporting ridge pole.
