Shown on OS map as, Fair View.
House. Probably early C18, with mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-
framed with painted brick infill, refaced in painted rubble with stone-tiled
roof laid in diminishing courses. Two bays aligned north/south, external
rubble chimney with rebuilt detached brick stack at north end. Single storey
and attic with dormers. Framing: exposed-at ends. Three panels from sill to
wall-plate, collar and tie-beam trusses with struts and V-struts above collar.
West front elevation: windows are C20 casements. Two ground floor 3-light
windows and two gabled dormers with cross-casements. Central entrance has
a gabled canopy on shaped timber brackets and a half-glazed C20 door. C20
extension of two storeys to rear north bay and also half-glazed C20 lean-to
addition at north side. (RCHM, III, p 54, item 24).
