SP 02 SW SEVENHAMPTON UPPER SEVENHAMPTON

Former stableblock immediately

Former stable block now squash court and studio. C17. Large
blocks coursed squared and finely dressed limestone, stone slate
roof. Rectangular plan. Two storeys. Two 2-light stone-mullioned
casements, one with stopped hood, in north gable end. Two-light
stone-mullioned window towards north end of east facing wall.
Blocked single light far left, large rectangular recessed area
between the two lights interrupting string continued around all
sides. Central 4-centred flat-chamfered doorway on west side
(facing Sevenhampton Manor), rectangular door surround with deep
flat chamfers (now blocked) right, another probably similar door
(now blocked) left. Slightly stepped gable end coping at right
end, roll-cross saddles. Building presumably functioned as
stableblock to Sevenhampton Manor (q.v.).
