Restoration and updating required us to understand not only the building fabric buts its history and dynamics. All this coupled with our clients sustainable ethos led to a highly challenging project. The project combines traditional breathable construction principles using hemp, lime and clay with modern technologies such a heat pumps, rainwater harvesting, and photovoltaics.
