8/49 Farmbuilding about 25 m north-east of Lower Fyfett Farmhouse

Barn enlarged to form stables and coach house, now farmhouse. Possibly C18, enlarged mid C19 and altered mid C20. Chert stone ranom rubble, ashlar dressings, slate roofs, gable fronted, hipped on west front. Plan, barn set parallel with road, extended on foldyard side. Two storeys, 5 bays, slightly projecting gabled fronted outer bays and centre, first floor square headed opening left, centre flanked by larger semi-circular headed openings with keystones, centre and end bay right semi-circular headed openings covered with corrugated iron sheeting, ground floor square headed doorway end bay left, semi-circular doorway centre with keystone, end bay right masked by single storey range of farmbuildings, not of special interest. Interior not seen. Three large raking buttresses on north side. An unexpectedly grand block, possibly part of an unfinished scheme.
