Lodge, now a house. c.1837, probably designed by T. L. Donaldson for E. B. Hartopp, with mid C20 additions. Ironstone with limestone ashlar dressings and thatched roofs. Chamfered plinth, bargeboards with drops and finials. Front has to left a gabled wing with a slate roofed gabled porch on wooden posts (1988 listing says thatched) and chamfered doorway with studded door. To left, a single casement. To right, a larger mullioned casement. Both casements have iron framed leaded glazing. (Photo Sept 2012).
