School and schoolhouse attached to south. 1867. Coursed ironstone rubble, ashlar dressings, fishscale slate roofs with iron ridge with small ventilators and tall chimney stacks. West front with tall mullioned windows has ashlar plinth, small buttress supporting slight projection with ornate shaped gable with finial and containing, a large window with small lozenge shaped opening above. Small buttress to south. 2 large windows beyond. Pointed doorway to north end of west front of projection. Plaque above with a large 'B' for Brownlow inscribed on shield. Small gable above, set over bell. Large coped gable above, with finial. (Photo Oct 2012).
