Disused drinking fountain. Circa mid to late C19. Granite monolith set against the
end wall of a cottage (No 74 Fore Street) on the roadside. It is a small round-
headed granite block about 1 metre tall with a round-headed niche in the front. At
the back of the niche a stopped pipe in place of a tap. Across the front of the
niche a wrought iron bar. There is a granite block in front of the fountain which is
probably a bucket stand.
This is one of a series of 6 surviving drinking fountains which supplied water to
Constantine, piped from the top of the village.
