SW 72 NW MAWGAN-IN-MENEAGE

Road bridge over stream at the head of a creek. Circa late C18 - early C19. Shale
rubble with dressed granite voussoirs to round arches and dressed granite hogs back
copings to parapets. Single span.Probably slightly humped road surface originally,
parapets splayed wider apart at either end. Round arches both up and down stream.
North parapet partly rebuilt using original copings.
A simple virtually complete single span bridge set in beautiful surroundings.
