The Stocks
GV II

House. Dated 1578. Rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. Stone slate
roof and stone coped gables with plain kneelers and ball finials. Stone ridge
and gable end stacks. Two storeys. South elevation of three bays. Gabled
bay on left with a 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window. Similar
window asymmetrically placed above. Date 1578 at apex of gable. Doorway
to the right with stone lintel and C20 plank door. To the right again a
4-light recessed and chamfered mullion window. 3-light recessed and chamfered
mullion window above.
