on left-hand gable end

Public House. Circa early C17. Stone rubble, rendered on left. Slate roof with
gable ends. Stone rubble front lateral hall stack and stone rubble stack with brick
shaft on lower right-hand gable end. Originally 3 room and through passage plan.
Staircase projection to rear from hall. Outshut extended to rear.
2 storeys, asymmetrical, 3 window front. Ground floor with C20 inserted door on left
and C19 4-light casement with glazing bars to right of front lateral stack. C20
lean-to porch of stone rubble with slate roof on right. 3-light casement and C20
plank door. In shallow projection on right, early C20 3-light casement.
First floor with 3 and 2-light early C20 casements.
Interior; chamfered ceiling beams with remains of ogee stops. Later timber lintel to
fireplace of front lateral stack and brick segmental arch to fireplace on right.
Possibly rear winder stair used as store.
First floor not inspected.
