the description shall be amended to read:
Barn. Early C19, with possible earlier origins. Granite rubble with
granite dressings; half-hipped grouted scantle slate roof replaced with
corrugated asbestos at rear. Long rectangular plan: probable threshing
floor to right with rear doorway approached by flight of stone steps
with C20 repairs. 2 storeys. Granite lintels over ground-floor doorways
(blocked to right with window), over windows and over first-floor
loading doorway. Similar window openings to other elevations. Left gable
end has granite lintel over cart opening. Blocked doorway and
ventilation holes to rear. Interior has late C19/C20 A-frame roof with
nailed collars.
A substantial example of the 2-level type of barn which had become a
characteristic feature of many Cornish farmsteads from the late C18, and
forming part of a good group.
