ST 68 NW OLVESTON THE STREET (east side)

House. C17 origin, enlarged and refronted early C19 with later alterations.
Rubble, rendered, stucco front, front has slate roof with raised,coped verges
and gable stacks, pantiles to rear of 3-span roof. 2 storeys, 4 windows, all
16-pane sashes, 2nd bay from right has flat-roofed porch with quatrefoils on
corner dies, cornice, parapet and coping, outer double door, inner 6-panelled
door with fanlight and decorative radial glazing bars, pilasters, open pediment
on short pilasters. North elevation has irregular windows including 1st floor
left 2-light casement with leaded lights 1st floor right sash in exposed box,
plank door to left, panelled and glass door with transom light to right. South
elevation has bow with 3 windows, 2 sashes and central 3-pane sash, 16-pane sash
above with drip mould. Rear has 2 windows, sashes at lst floor, C20 door and
16-pane sash at ground floor. Interior: not inspected.
