Cottage, late C17 with extension left (originally a farmbuilding),
probably early C19. Brick-nogged oak small framing; left bay of
brick; cement-slate roof. If storeys; 3 bays. Replaced boarded door
in open gabled porch on brackets. Most windows replaced with
Cholmondeley Estate cast iron lattice casements - 3 to lower storey
and 2 in gabled half-dormers to upper storey, and in end gables.
Ridge chimney of brick was a gable chimney before left bay was built.
Interior: Inglenook with arched oak bressumer. Chamfered oak beams in
lower storey. Some oak-framed internal walls.
