Churchyard railings, plinth wall and gates to Church of the Holy Trinity

Wall, railings and gates. Probably c1877 by J. L. Pearson. For the
Fitzwilliam family of Wentworth Woodhouse. Rubble sandstone walling
with ashlar copings; wrought-iron railings; cast-iron gate piers. Set
round the perimeter of the churchyard with short break at north-west
corner. Double gate opposite east end of church in the line of an
avenue from Wentworth Woodhouse. Another double gate opposite north
porch with single gate to left (opposite vestry) and wider gate to
right opposite burial ground. Outer ditch in front of low railings
opposite north and east sides of church; elsewhere the ditch is absent
and railings rise to approximately 1 metre in height. Chamfered copings.
Wrought-iron railings with barbed finials; matching gates. Tapered
octagonal gate piers with shaped tops. Included for group value.
