Former school and schoolmaster's house. Dated 1875. Possibly by R H Carpenter. Rubble with ashlar dressing, Westmorland slate roof.

House: single-storey bay to left of gabled two-storey bay, attached to school on right. School: set back; single-storey, five-bays, the right two bays gabled.

House: part-glazed door to left bay, three-light mullion-and-transom windows to right bay with bargeboards to gable; oversailing eaves. Eaves stack to right. Left return hung with Welsh slates. School, from left: four-panel door below two-pane overlight in open porch with Tuscan colonnette at angle; three-, four- and three-light mullion windows; two cross windows with dated quatrefoil above, bargeboards to gable; oversailing eaves. Three wooden vents in roof slope. Stack on apex of right gable; lateral rear central stack.
