House. Early and mid C19. White painted brick, narrow frieze, deep eaves to
hipped slate roof with 7 stacks. 2 storeys. South front: 12 bays, centre
3 slightly projecting; glazing bar sashes with chamfered reveals, those on
ground floor cut down with margin lights. West front: 7 bays. Mid C19 single
storey conservatory projects to right, with stone dressings, cornice and
pierced parapet; 6 bays and entrance in third bay from right with two 3-
panelled doors, rectangular fanlight, fluted architrave, and pilasters
supporting flat hood. North front: 6 bays. Entrance in second bay from left
with two 3-panelled doors, semi-circular wreathed fanlight and Ionic porch
with 2 columns supporting frieze and cornice. Interior: mainly mid C19, large
double height staircase hall with central-mounting Imperial staircase, 2 Ionic
columns supporting landing, and oval skylight.
